just thought i would give everyone a heads up in regards to stateway auto transport. after getting a good line of bull@#$% from my rep DAVID how he had another car going to staten island (close to long island) and that he would get the car picked up right away, i got nothing. after a week, i got the appology and i am gonna talk to my supervisor and get this expedited for you. another week goes by and after leaving several voicemails and emails, he contacted me, appologized again and said "I am gonna talk to my supervisor and get this expedited for you". another week goes by, and now i finally get in touch with him, and he tells me that it might help if i "Sweeten the pot" with a little more money to get a driver to go there and pick up my car. now here we are in week four, and after more emails and voicemails, i havent heard back from him. do yourself a favor and stay away from stateway auto transport out of chicago. i am now searching for another transport company to pick up my car near phoenix and deliver it to long island if anyone knows of one i would love to hear from you.

thanks chris, i know all about reliables reputation, but this is a project car and i dont need enclosed transport. a regular car carrier will do. i got a quote from them, and i am sure when this is all over, i will wish i went with them.

Reliable Carriers also offers open bed transport. Give Bob Sellers, their General Manager, a call at 800-521-6393 extension 6262 and tell him the MCACN gang sent you.

I have used Reliable to haul a project car in one of their enclosed trailers with a winch. It was little more but I was able to send the car with all the parts and for piece of mind it was worth it. Another thing to consider is to get the car insured while it is being transported.

i am a patirnt man. but i figured if i canned them i would have to start all over. most places, including reliable carriers give you a one to three week window. my window was just a little bit bigger. i wish i could have thrown this guy out of it!
