The event that is mentioned at the end of the article is worthy of attending for not only Mr. Albaugh's cars but those that will be in the general show. I've registered and plan to take in all the precious metal as well as visit my old convertible. Hopefully our heat wave will ease a bit by then.
I believe the "caretaker" mentioned in the article visits this board on occasion and maybe could share a thought on how many cars they're expecting this year?
.....Neat article....
"It may come as a surprise that his favorite car in the vast collection is not a convertible but an orange 1969 Camaro coupe built by Yenko, a muscle car tuner shop of the era. The Camaro still has the correct 427-cubic-inch V-8 and 4-speed Muncie transmission.
“It’s real rare to find a Yenko with its original engine,” he said. “It’s real fast, real showy, and every time I take that to a show the crowds are around it.”
While an authentic Yenko Camaro like this can bring more than $300,000 at auction, Mr. Albaugh said he believed that the most valuable of his cars was a 1953 Corvette, one of only 300 made. "

Andy had a couple of the cars at SCR 13 and I believe was at MCACN II. Super nice guy.

Hi guys. Been busy getting ready for the show here, and finishing the restoration on a 39 chevy convertible headed to Flint tuesday for the 100 year celebration and show, by the VCCA.
Expecting 600 cars this year. 2 years ago was also hot and we had 440.
Taking care of 60 years of Chevrolet history keeps me hopping and pulled in many different directions, depending on what the project is at the time. Hope to get to the MCACN show again this fall. HMMM what to bring?
