I'm interested in the 69 Chevelle SS hood if someone's willing to drag it back to MI. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

Hi Tony, I can have Bob Ashton strap it to his AMC roof. Might be an improvemnt. I'm sure someone can haul it back to MI. With all the trailers coming from near & far, I figured this would be a good opportunity to share some great stuff with the members, and, hopefully have some way to get the big stuff home.

I'd also be interested in the 69 hood if Tony doesn't take it. I can have it picked up at your house, by a friend in your area.

Is it a 68 hood, or a 69 hood? The difference is the distance between the hinge bolts. A 68 hood is about 12&3/4" and the 69 hood is a little more than 14".

Thanks for the info & interest. Tony pointed out the difference in the hinge bolt spacing, so, I measured. My hood is 12 1/4 center to center of the holes, so, although identical otherwise, that makes it a '68 model year piece. I guess the solution is to use the corresponding hinges, but, if you need a hood to pass informed concours judging, I suppose this won't do.

Yes, thats a 68 hood Mike. They are also different around the latch mechanism. I'll have to pass. I need a 69. Thanks anyway.

Thanks Bill. I understand. I know now that real GM '69 SS hoods are very hard to find, so, I'd still rather use this real '68 than a crappy repop. I'm sure someone will need it, so, based on the new info, I will lower the price to $400.00
