does anyone know where i can get some of the rivets to replace the ones that hold the shlash shield to the bottom of a aluminum intake

GM still sells them. I know I have the part number somewhere but I searched and CAN'T find it. Sorry. Just try your local GM dealer and ask him to search for rivets. They ARE available from the General new, identical to originals......

i called a friend of mine in the parts department and he can not find them, a number would help for sure thanks

GM has them - P/N 10229247 "Pin - Eng Air Ht Shld", 10 in a bag.

I have a small jar of them. Mabey a couple hundred. They came directley from the Flint engine plant many years ago. If anyone needs some, shoot me a PM.
