Yes, CE blocks were date code stamped in that location near the starter. The pad stamp is strange ??

Pete, I think you are talking about the 396/375 I have that was initially stamped KE but changed to CE.

Kristoffer, the stamp by the starter appears to be T089 which would be August of 1969.

Yes you're right Kurt and I was thinking Kris had posted it before..
Kris' L88 is no doubt a very magical find but your KE dual clutch stamping block is just the coolest, especially if L89 too!.
What car are you running the L88 in Kris?.

Lookin' good Kris!.
Seeing the headrest seats and large rear spoiler, is it a factory '70 Copo 9796 car?.

Thanks guys!

No its not a copo car, or I dont think so.

I have som pics from 1971, and back then the car didnt have the rear spoiler, or the L88 scoop.

But the dealer here in sweden paited some cool black stripes on the car when it was new, the car was daytona yellow (code 51) original.

That is one nice looking ride. Throw some old Ansen Sprint rims on it and it would be the perfect Day2 car. Especiallly with that L88 under the hood.

The car had Ansen sprint wheels in the 80s. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif Back then the car was painted black.

I was looking for Ansen or lookalike before I bought these, but it was hard to find with the correct sizes.....but im still looking <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif
And I think im going to paint the car black again in the future.

A nice set of Cragar S/S'es would also look sweet.

Again, very nice ride; LOVE the L-88 and L-88 hood.

That block has been decked. you can faintly make out numbers after the v, but not make them out. Them other numbers look like a restamp attempt.

Slots are the Coolest. This is a pic of the day the original owner backed it out of his garage for the last time to load into my trailer.
