I'm trying to get an idea of the value of a 1970 Impala Custom. A family member had passed this April and the family wants to sell the car. Since I have no idea of the value of these big cars, I figured that this would be a good place to ask.
It's a very nice original car. Barry, family member, was the second owner. It's a Marshall Chevrolet car and was in Reading it's whole life. The car was garaged kept and still is.
Misty Turquoise paint, black hat, turquoise cloth and vinyl interior.
350 2v with TH350.

That is a very nice looking and original car. Good luck with it. the 1970 Impala was not nearly as collectable as the earlier years but this is still one exceptional looking car.

Nice Impala!
A buddy had a Shadow Gray '70 that was REAL nice! We used to participate in lots of car shows back in the day, including frequent trips to Maple Grove for Super Chevy Sunday. His son is now re-doing it.

Very nice. I'm not usually a fan of '70s, but there was a similar one for sale here in WA on Ebay a while back, same colors but 454/TH400 that I really admired as well.
I think market value is probably $8-10K, properly marketed. If it were me trying to sell it, I'd Ebay it with a proper zillion hi def picture ad with a good story and writeup. I'd put a $7500 reserve on it and a "let's see if somebody steps up" buy-it-now of $12,500.
Or I'd put 15x8 Rallys with '67 Centers on it, 235/70/15 fronts and 255/70/15 rears, blackwall out, take a half coil out of the front springs if needed, and put it on the web for $12,900.
JMO, of course.

What a great looking car, the interior appears spectacular!
I thought the exhaust manifolds had changed from the rams horn style to the log style by 1970 ? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif

I think Tom is on the money with an $8 - $10K market value.
Jake, I think 70 was the last year for the Ram's horn exhaust manifolds on the full size small block cars.
Nice car!

Guys, that was a picture I posted in here a little while ago. I bought that picture from Carl Rubrecht. He took many pictures at Maple Grove, Atco, Cecil, and Numidia. He has some really awsome pics!

Very nice car, I love the color combo.....is that the speedo cable I see hanging down under the drivers side dash????

I'm sure that was the antena cable? The speedo worked fine. I know this because I was speeding in it and did not realize I was cruising 10mph over the posted. He he.
