This is an original 350 4-bolt main short block that I just pulled out of my 1969 SS 350 Camaro. The short block was professionally rebuilt before the car was sent to the body shop to be restored but the car ended up in storage with very few miles before I bought it last year. The block casting number is 3970014, the date code is F/8/70 (June 8th 1970) and the block was decked and has no codes or a VIN on the pad. This original 4-bolt main short block was rebuilt with flat top pistons, the connecting rods were polished and stress relived with upgraded bolts and ARP studs are used in the center main bolts for extra strength. It was built with a special windage tray, extra capacity oil pan and high performance oil pump with welded oil pick up. My guess is that it was a warranty replacement motor for this car because of the date code and the originality of the car. The little that I have driven the car before I started taking it apart the motor ran great with the hydraulic cam having a strong mid range and the motor making great power. The only reason I am selling this short block is that I am installing a big block that will be done in a few weeks. If you are looking for a date code correct 350/300hp L48 for your 1970 SS Camaro or Nova or a warranty replacement for your 1969 350 this might be what you are looking for. $1395.00 or fair offer.
