I love them '68 cars a lot also! The front & rear "CHEVY II" emblems and the key still on the dash made them bitchin' cars. I still have trouble identifying 1969 to 1972 Novas but '68's always stand out from the other years. Makes me kinda miss my '68 L-79 Chevy II I sold a few years ago. I can still visualize how great it would have looked with red steel wheels, dog dish hubcaps and a Stinger hood. It would have made a great Pure Stock car with its' L-79, Muncie M-20, and 3.55 12-bolt.

Hey there. That be my Gold Chevy II. Sure had fun @ beaver but didn't do that well. Thanks for taking an interest in it. That was my first showing @ Super Chevy since 1987 or 88. Had a nice time there too. Jim

I'm not sure how many of you have seen my '68 that I used to have. I sold it and purchased the Chevelle.

427/4-speed with 3.73 out back.

No Sam, it was a clone. One of the previous owners totaled a '68 SS and his wife totaled a '69 SS Chevelle. He found this Nova and put the SS trim on it and the 396 from the Chevelle in it. I changed everything over to make it look like a true Big Block car and then took a 454 and built a 427.

That car was a lot of fun to drive. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/3gears.gif

Nothing like a sweet 3rd Gen. Nova to get ya' revved up! (No offense to other generation Novas, I'm just partial to the 68-72).

Maybe someday mine will look as good as the ones on this site. *Sigh*

I thought you guys would appreciate this 68 survivor, 6 cyl. This car was bought off of Harrisburg, PA craigslist about 2 weeks ago. I spoke to the new owner who happens to be a girl, her husband bought it for her....paid $4900... over 100k miles, nice org trunk spatter and real nice rubber mats you Nova guys would love to have, also has POP.

Back in '89 my dad bought a light green/green stripper Nova 6 cyl with 16k miles for $800.

Drove it back and forth from Pittsburgh to Erie for my last semester of college and then sold it for $2500 with 17k miles.

That was a pretty solid car that drove beautifully.

Yes, I show them in one of my books for the 68 Nova. Is your 68 a 3 speed or 4 speed? Got any more pics?

I have the 14x6 steel rims but not certain on what size tires would go nice on those rims. I like the skinny tire up front and fat tire in the back look.

That 68 is just about a carbon copy of my options on my 68, but mine is fathom blue and no bumper guards. Mine has a wheel option, special wheel, hubcap and trim ring? I have not figured exactly what wheel it would be, the SS wheels or the Corvette style?
