Hello all, a few years back I posted for sale on this site my what was unconfirmed L78 hugger orange nova. It was purchased from me and restored and there are notes about it on this site. When it was sold I was hoping that if it ever came up forsale again I would have a shot to buy it back years down the road. I have recently found out it was confirmed and restored and sold at Mecum in 2009, I believe. My son is now driving age and the car means alot to me as I had it for 10 years. Would anyone have any ideas of where this car would be? It is pretty rare as it was a paint code delete car 1969 Nova SS Hugger Orange sold originally at Grossman Chevorlet in MN. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Shaun

Good place to start Shaun. I'll bet there are some sleuths around here that can point you in the right direction. What do you mean by "confirmed"?

Good luck!

Shaun have you checked with the guy you sold the car too? The car had a first class restoration by one of the best.

Ahh, that does sound familiar! Very cool ride!

Is it this (http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=291900#Post2919 00) one?

Thats the car. Not sure but Alan Forman bought it from you and he may know who bought it at Mecum.
That car is in the top 5 of all the cars we have done. Definitly one of my favorites. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/3gears.gif

Shaun, that is correct. Alan did sell it at auction. I was pretty sure he had kept you in the loop on the resto progress. I know he talked to a couple of previous owner including a sherriffs deputy from up there. We were never able to track it back further that a hooked on classics dealer if I remember correctly.
The car did go to the MCACN show in Chicago and did recieve a gold award in day 2 concours.
I thought Alan had visited with you before he sold it. Maybe I'm thinking of a different car.
It was also one of my all time favorite cars.

Thanks everyone for the comments and assistance. I have located the car in NJ. Hopefully at some point I will be able to get back behind that wheel. Thanks again,

Shaun
