I just listed this NOS Mopar hood tach on Ebay. It is totally complete and has never been used or installed.
NOS Dixco Hood Tach (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250897648978)
Other that the emblem on the face, this tach is identical to the Yenko hood tach.
The reserve is $1940
Thanks,
Jason

Nice piece Jason. Nice to see a new in the box item like this. I am interested in what the Yenko Deuce gurus think about the original finish of the outer case of this tach. I polished my original tach to a high luster similar to what I see here. I have heard opinions that the Deuces were delivered with either a high luster finish or a flat finish. If Yenko delivered these tachs with a low luster or flat finish, did they coat them with a flat finish? If they were a high luster, were they installed as they came out of the box or were they painted with a high luster finish?
Thanks

Thanks for posting the picture. I'm maxed out on the pictures that I can place on Ebay. I may start a photobucket album though as the questions are coming in quick on this tach.
Thanks again,
Jason

Instead of using Photobucket try Flickr
I used to use Photobucket but i find Flickr to be much easier to Cut and paste photos with, plus you can choose which size you want to paste, join-it is free.

The later multi color Dixco tachs are worth a pretty good amount. Does it have 3 or 4 wires coming out of it? Does is have a metal mounting nut or a plastic one?
They generally bring $200-$600 depending on condition and what era is is from combined with who is looking for one at the time.

This is an original Dixco HT/x Hood Tach. They where manufactured in the same time period as the legendary black-white front indicator.
The first Dixco HT/x with tricolour front indicator was produced in 1972 with a transparent inner “electronic” housing. (Ultra rare)
This one comes with a white inner housing, produced in 1973 up to 1977.
I have one in NOS condition. They are very rare! I’m still looking for one in the original box. Never saw one on eBay or something else.
Your tach looks good; I think the worth is around 350 to 450 USD.

Thanks for the info Swiss. I'm going to list it on ebay one of these days but then again it would look nice on my 67 z.
