NICE! A 1977 Can Am. Those are so cool. 400 Pontiac engine and a shaker, 4 speed or automatic. Very limited production due to the rear spoiler mold breaking and forcing the cancellation of the model halfway through the year.

I love these also. There is a 4spd in a barn near me sitting on its belly (contractor working on my house has it). It rough, but maybe I should rethink that car.

MCR recently did an article on one. I was surprised at how rare they are.

It's basically the 77 Trans Am on a larger platform with a real back seat.

They NEVER came from the factory in a 4spd.

You probably saw mine Steve. I bought it from a guy that worked for gm and he was very anal about building the most correct one of none car built. He used everything from a 74 Grand Am and the trans was a date coded 77 trans out of a TA. It was spectactular.

I know the guy who built that car. He just sold it a couple months ago to the guy that appantly has it now. It was in ivyland. sold it for 5500. wrong motor also.

I ordered one from my Pontiac dealer back in '77, [closest thing to a GTO you could get in those days..]...then I bagged him and kept my 69 Corvette....Obviously I think they are the bomb...

Ditto what was said above. No 4-speeds were produced, and they all had the 403 Olds or the Pontiac 400.

GTO I dont think thats the car from Ivyland. This one has been in this guys garage for a few years. Seen it off and on and for the last two that I know of. For some reason in the last month its been sitting out side. Me I would be a little concen with it sitting out in the open for some wack job to walk off with it.
Got a good look at it today I have to say IT really looks like a factory 4 speed. No butcher job. factroy console buckit seats
and it says 455 ci on the hood but who knows still a neat car
