Great video! He really did almost have a heart-attack! Imagine seeing your old car and having a wave come over you like that. 21 again!

Yeah, it did look like he was gonna have a heart attack! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/shocked.gif I ran into my '66 Chevy years after I sold it and almost had a heart attack...but it was not a good thing <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/no.gif
I most certainly thought of Ken when I saw that yellow '65 <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/wink.gif

I got water in my eyes too. To think that he remembered that car so well that when he started it up he said, "somebody changed the mufflers". Now that is a memory!!! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/flag.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/burnout.gif

Thanks for posting, Rita! I saw the commercial on TV the other day....it was an edited (much shorter) version of that video, but even it was very moving. What a great story to celebrate Chevrolet's 100th anniversary.

I think this is such a touching story to so many people because I would bet that EVERY American(car enthusiasts or not!) has memories of riding with their father in their father's _ _ _ _ _ (fill in the blank). It would be neat to have your father drive you on a particularly familiar route while the grandson is also in the car. Having three generations in a great old 4-wheel'ed family friend of a Chevrolet would just be an emotional sensory overload!

For those who still have their fathers with them, savor the time you have with them....trust me.

If my father was still alive, I'd probably be looking for a '49 Chevy convertible (black on red) that he had delivered to the steps of the church on his wedding day. My mother later complained that he paid more attention to that car on their honnymoon then he did on her! I have an old picture of me sitting on the seat behind the wheel when I was 1 year old. I wonder if that started it??????
