Well, the time has come for me to sell the COPO engine I acquired several years ago.

Block is standard bore, have original pistons, rods, crank, cam, bearings, harmonic balancer. Have a new 140 cam purchased here on the site when people put in an order to have the correct cams made that will come with the engine.

Prior to exchange of $/shipping, I will have the blocked checked over (magged/fluxed) to make sure everything is good. I don't think it needs an overbore, but at the most it'd be .030 over if needed. Again, this will all be checked out prior to exchange of cash.

There's no VIN stamp anywhere. I hope I've taken good pics of the block stamping. Any questions, please let me know.

Best I can ascertain, the engine was internally balanced at some point. I'm guessing it's the initials to the person who did the balancing.

Other than that, maybe the Zapruder films were stored in there. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/crazy.gif

NOTE: I will also sell just the block, if someone is interested in that.

I see the windage tray bolts and would just like to add that the flat GM tray will fit inside a stock Chevelle oil pan too. Our car had one most of its life. One thing with the engine disassembled, it is easy to measure to see if the block has ever been decked.

I should add, I do have the original oil pan for the engine as well.

I think you will find that the 396 and 427 were internally balanced from the factory. The 454 had the weighted balancer and flywheel for an external balance.

Hmm, interesting Keith. I was not aware of that. Thanks for the info. Now if I could only sell this thing...
