I am in need of a set of 461 SBC heads dated late August to early September of 62. Non ported straight up castings preferred.
Thanks,

What valve sizes?
Screw in or pressed studs?
Bare castings or ready to install?

All 461X heads were pressed in studs and 1.94 valves. In 1963, 340 and 360 fuelie versions got swirl polished valves but the valve sizes still stayed 1.94.

Yea, what he said! As far as condition, I will consider bare castings, good cores, and finished heads. Just looking for good heads that have not been messed up with the date range I detailed in my post. The heads are the last of what I need to button up the engine for my fuelie.
Thanks,
Tim

Sorry for all the ?'s, I might be able to help, just trying to cover the bases before I make any calls.

I have a mint untouched pair of X heads (bare) but they are too early for you. Good luck on the search. They are getting hard to find.

All I could come up with was late September dates.
Sorry I couldn't help.

Thanks everyone. I am still looking. A fellow on Corvette Forum says he may have a set of early September heads. Until then.................

Didn't Joe Smith have a set at MCACN - maybe the dates were too late?

I took a look at them. The dates were a little earlier than I would have liked. I wanted to talk to him but he was busy with someone else. They appeared to have taken a decent decking. Even the bottom of the intake ports were milled <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/eek.gif
