Hey Ken, Thanks a lot for those pics. Did you get into the swap area? Jody Anderson, who owns the NIA was there with his '64 Chevy cop car (full resto).

Hey Ken, I'm glad you met up with Jody. That's a great looking wheel. The horn button is '64. Now that you're an NIA member, you should plan on coming out to Joisey next July. Our club is hosting the NIA national convention here (with drags at Atco!) July 22-27. Put it on your calendar!

kwhizz,

I feel quite honored to be the first photo in your line up, with my car surrounded by "The Ring Of Paper".

It was an awesome experience meeting all the faces that go with the screen names. (Of course no-one looked like their screen names, so I did the obvious thing and duct taped "NJsteve" on my show credentials so at least someone would talk to me, since I was surrounded by Chevrolets.)

Ken,

Great job on the pix. Thanks for taking the time to photograph and post.

Also, thanks again for the lunch treat on Friday. Your timing was perfect. We are all standing around hungry trying to decide where to go and here you come with the box of the goods. Much appreciated.

I really love this car. Amazing how the L60's can look so conservative on this car and so huge on another like the 72 Motion Vette. Does anyone know what size wheel is now on the rear? Seems like it may only be a 7" deal.

I have to agree with Charley, except my favorites are both Mark's Black Beauty and the Green BM Camaro together again. If you have never really looked into the history on these two car's as ordered by Roberto Schneider it might be a good time to re visit this thread as Mark was readying the Black BM Chevelle for it's debut at Amelia Island in Feb 2008. There are some nice pictures in this thread of both car's.
Enjoy, neat stuff.

If these cars get you going and you haven't been to this show before, you have to make a point to make this venue in the future. There were so many nice cars here. I'd have to say this is the Pebble Beach of Muscle Cars.

Mike, Thanks for the link to the old thread regarding the Motion Cars. That was a nice trip down memory lane. Remember the 18" of snow sitting on our cars when we got back to Ohio after the show? Ughhh.

That probably means the carb had the snake tongue looking squirter that puts an accelerator pump fuel shot in both the front and rear barrels at the same time. When you did that, it was common to put gear type linkage on the passenger side of the carb throttle shafts to make the front and rear open at the same time.

So looking at Google Map satellite view, at the location of Baldwin Chevy, at Merrick & Central, obviously it's long gone.
Can anyone tell me what corner it WAS on? The likely corners now have a 7/11 and a CVS.
Also when it was closed/torn down? Sad to see legendary locations torn down.
Any existing pics of it would be really sweet to see.
Thanks.

Baldwin Auto Company was on the southwest corner. There is a CVS there now. Lion Chev was operating there until the late 80's
