These are my favourite cars from AMC that were at this years 2011 MCACN show.
Not many so please share any others you may have.

This show just has me laughing at myself.
I can't tell you how many times I stopped to stare at the AMC display, then walked away smiling & thinking, "I'm drooling over 'Ramblers'!" <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif
(BTW, I'd love to take home the Brown Javelin!)

There was nothing better than a "wheels up" Super Stock AMX.

I saw what appeared to be a 69 SS/AMX in one of the photos.
Does anyone know who it belongs to, if it is one of the original 52,and any other details?
I was really "hot" on these a few years back and chased a few all over the country.
I have an acquaintance that has two of the originals now, but I can't afford them.
Thanks,
DandyDon

Agreed, that brown Javelin is smoking.

Its funny how the Brown, Tan and Mustard Yellow cars used to be the first cars painted Resell Red. Now these are the first cars I flock towards and commend the owners for returning these beauties back to their original colors.

For all of you that would like to see some more of the MCACN from an AMC perspective, here are a few pictures of cars you may have otherwise missed.

DandyDon; we actually hosted THREE of the real-deal documented SS/AMX's; Larry Weymouth's Rodekauf car, (recently purchased from the original owner), another owned by Tom Abrams, (one of the earliest produced) and another recently acquired, that was owned by the same guy showing the Rebel Machine.
See 'em at MCACN! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/headbang.gif

Hey nice timing as there I am in the background staring at Rich's Pure Stock 68 AMX. Funny thing, I've noticed the fact he never cleaned off rubber on the quarters from the Pure Stock Drags

Did they have any 1973 AMC Hornet "X" Hatchbacks at the show? I owned one and out of the factory the car had a 360 V-8 with a 727 Torqueflite transmission. The car was light in weight and fast with a few modifications.
