Hi all....My Dad was here today and I showed him this ad and we believe that the 70 Chevelle convert is one that he lettered when it was brand new. He never took any pictures when he lettered it and we were both suprised when we saw it on the cover. Any information would be appreciated.
ThanX

Dave Ellis owns it and is restoring it slowly.
It was sold new from Carl Schmidt Chevrolet on 350 Louisiana St.in Perrysburg OH.
Forest green 1970 L-78 402/375Hp originally, with TH400 trans,(1 of less then 5 '70 L-78 Cnvts.w/TH400 I know of to date),& 3:55 posi.,that had it's engine pulled,(believed to have been blown up),later on & an LS-6 installed in it.Was then painted Astro blue, and now being painted back to it's origianl green color, last I talked to him.I think Dave said he found the original block, after a long & tedious search.Very heavy loaded with factory power options too, according to the buildsheet.
Dave is a gentle & very nice man,who has been in a wheelchair for many years now,so the resto is slow & steady.
His L-78 Chevelle cnvt.and my L-78 Chevelle coupe were literally built within minutes,if not seconds of eachother.
Mine was 18 units ahead of his on the same assembly line that day.
