This is a complete LS6 454/450 engine from carb to pan minus the cam and lifters. It was removed from a 1971 jet boat so the date codes are all late 70-early 71. This would make a great replacement engine for an LS6 Chevelle or other hi perf warranty engine.

The numbers on the engine are as follows:

Block casting number: 3963512 Factory 4 Bolt Main

Head Casting: 3964291 Factory Rectangular Port Hi Performance

Crank Forging Number: 7416 Factory Steel Crank, Nitrited and Cross Drilled

Piston: L2349 .030, TRW Forged Piston, 1970 LS6 Replacement

Rods: Hi Performance Chevrolet "Dimple" rods with factory 7/16" rod bolts

Intake: 3963569, Factory High Performance Aluminum Intake

This is an original LS6, not a cobbled together bunch of parts. The engine is complete from intake to pan minus the cam and lifters.

The block has been bored .030 over and has almost no use since then. The tops of the cylinders have ZERO ridge. There are no breaks, sleeves, or other repairs/damage.

The heads look great with no porting or modifications. The valves sit very high in all the seats. Even the original high lift "L" rockers are still intact.

$2750

I sold an LS5 from Carb to pan for $4000 a few weeks ago and this motor is a much better LS6.

I bought this motor from Jason, the motor was used in a marine application. Got it home yesterday and it was as advertised. The plugs in the heads on the front end of the engine, are different than stock.

You can just make them out in the pic of the eng on the engine stand. I believe they are called "cold plugs" and I need to replace them with stock plugs. Can anyone point me to someplace where I can get replacement correct plugs. Every search I do refers to spark plugs.

Do you need replacement plugs for the front of the heads? I have some here. I should have tossed them in the lifter valley. I started a thread about them here also. I can ship them out to you but I will not be able to do so until the middle of January. If you need them earlier, I will try to find the thread so you(and others) can order them. Sorry for not mentioning the different plugs. I am used to dealing with marine engines and take it for granted that they are there.

WOW, looks like I missed page 2! Yes, McMaster is where I got mine and they are great. Also great for aluminum head plugs as well.

Happy Holidays,
