I just purchased the correct "BA" master cylinder for my Chevelle.
Does anyone recommend a good rebuild kit or is it just better to send it out to someone? If so, who?
On a side note....are they dated???? I do see a "26" cast on the driver's side.
Thanks, Kurt
Wagner kits are good quality. Disassemble and see if the bore is pitted badly. If not, just use the wagner kit. If so, send it to White Post and they will sleeve it and rebuild it.

Kurt,
I have heard as of late that a few members having good luck with there local Napa stores. They said it was much cheaper than sending it to someone that just specialized in sleeving and rebuilding masters (White Post) As far as trusting Napa with your new rare master cylinder, simple ask a lot of questions and feel them out? Let me know what you end up doing?
Dan
Send it to Steve Gregori. http://www.brakeboosters.com/

69 Post Sedan,
Yes they are dated but not with casting numbers. The assembly date will be stamped in very tiny numbers/letters. MC near front bleeder. Calipers on the underside of one of the mounting ears.
Most are hard to see.

Greg, I've had no luck finding the dates stamped on my MC.
I'm thinking the stamp is too light to see or they didn't stamp it. I even got out the magnifying glass. (I'm getting old) <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif
Thanks for the reply though, Kurt <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif
