My friend restored a 69 Z/28/RS and added the Cross Ram and the JL* rearend to the car. This was in the mid-ninty's. It also had black houndstooth interior. We haven't seen or heard about the car since it went out west to Seattle.

Just wondering if anyone on the site has seen or heard about Allen's old car lately? It was a beauty

Any shot it was an original LeMans Blue that happened to be painted black at the time? Figure it was a stretch but doesn't hurt to ask...

If my car looked that good prior to any restoration work I think I'd leave it as-is.

The car looked great as you can see when Allen bought it from a friend of Rick George.

Dave Lindsley had one just like that in the late 90's. He bought it from a guy in Canada that only owned for a short time.

I watched Allen resto that car from start to finish. It was in great shape to start with. Sometimes Al would let me help a little and that would make my day (LOL).I bought those American Racing wheels from him and run them on my car from time to time.
I've always wondered what happened to the black Z. I've seen a lot of high dollar big name restos in my travels and Al's black Z is right up there with them.
Thanks Al i'll never forget all those little tricks you taught me about building a car.

Allen brought in some pictures of the car today. They were dated 6/ 2000 . They were taken right before he sold the car.

Also , he had change the Endura front bumper to a chrome one before he sold it. Just his preference

Here's the car . It ended up on Ebay. Time hasn't been kind to it though and many things have been changed.

----I guess Iam just naturally curious, but how would a 1969 Z/28 have to be ordered for it to come with an M-20 trans???.......Bill S

Why would you put a mylar vin sticker in the door on a car that didn't come with one?

Restoration from the 90's that's why! This car is about 500 cars ahead of mine. Anyone know if this car has its orig block? If so is it a 618 block or an 010 block?

Nothing really special on the shipper papers. Personally I think it was customer preferance on the M20, 21, or22 Frank

VIN 124379N638398
Cool car w/ a few problems but decent probability it's a real Z.
Bummer if the tag's a repop, consolation prize the xRam and JL8?

OK. I remember the car now. Yes, that is a fake tag.

One of the guys at team camaro took a better pic of it than the one on the ebay auction. You know, any time you see a "numbers" car with very clear pics of everything BUT the "numbers" it raises a serious red flag. Really, if you can take a clear pic of the straigh, shiny quarter panel, why not a clear pic of the tag?

To me it looks to perfect and both rivits, I looked up Trim Tags .com and looked at there 69 camaro norwood tags and they look identical.
I phoned the dealer because I was interested in the car, Say's sold for 79.500 gone to Florida

Hope the FL buyer knows it has a fake tag.
