Why do so many Ferrari's have such major engine work done to them with so few miles? I know its quite common, but just don't know why.... I was looking at a F355 Berlinetta, same thing with the engine....

It is part of the regular maintenance schedule. If the maintenance is not kept up, that is a major issue.
The 15k engine out and clutch repacement and service for a 355 F1 can run $20,000.00.
Cam belts and other items wear over time, when you have 4 cams opening and closing 40 valves at up to almost 8,500 rpms you want to be very safe!

Ah - got it. Now I understand why they are always advertising that the 'service' is complete. I stepped back from the 355 Berlinetta because I was just too green on these cars - love 'em though!
That is a good price for a yellow, screamin Spyder!
