HIs description is auto tranny, so its a "slap-stick"!! Dana 60 out back is cool and relatively rare behind a Hemi/auto combo!!!

IIRC, when a Challenger was ordered with the Super Track Pac (4.10 gear and power disc brakes) you got the Dana axle regardless of whether a 4 speed or TorqueFlite trans was spec'ed.

It was called a <span style="font-style: italic">Super Performance Axle Package</span> behind an auto tranny. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/scholar.gif

Weren't all 4.10 geared Mopars after '66 set up with Danas?

I would think a 4:10 on an automatic is very rare. I have not seen many. Usually you see lower ratios on autos compared to 4spds.

If you were heading to the drag strip, a HEMI-727-Dana 60/4.10 was a dynamite combo. I concur that it was fairly rare to see 4.10 (and 3.54) Danas behind the 727s as it was optional and cost a bunch (It was, however, included with the 4 speed Hemis and 440s).

Yup, you wanted 4.10s you got a DANA. Regardless of trans.
3.54s are a 4-speed only ratio in mopars. 3.55s are auto - but that ratio is the 8 3/4 rearend, not Dana 60.
Curious what's on the fender tag of this car A32 or A34...

Des - my bust... no 3.54 gears in a Dana behind an auto trans. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/blush.gif
The fender tag for this Challenger has to be an "A32" or Super Performance Axle Package with 4.10/Dana.
Off the top of my head, "A34" is the Super Track Pack w/ Dana axle used behind a 4 speed. (?A33 is Track Pack, 3.54 used w/ 4spd?)

My Challenger has the original Dana/3:54 four speed trans and the fender tag and broadcast sheet have A33 as the code.

my 70 440 4spd dana has same code, A33.
I wonder if an auto w/ dana gets the torque boxes? My guess is no, but its only a guess. A 4spd dana for sure gets them.
