My kind of GM, love the fact that they traded in 1969 L78 Chevelle.....Insurance costs may have been a factor?

Very nice Post Sedan!

His first muscle car was a '66 360hp Chevelle.

It even had the transistor ignition option.

He said that he had no issues with the '66 in the local stop light GPs. It was stolen a couple of years down the road and he replaced it with a '69 L78 Chevelle which he said was a dog compared to the '66.

He felt that the W31 was just as quick as the '66.

Interesting perspective from an original owner of three Muscle cars.

If I owned that car I don't know that I'd want to do a complete restoration; I think it looks fine just as it sits. I think I'd put some high test in it and drive the wheels off of it.

Just drive it....Why make it another restored car?

Rob, it's in your color, original, documented, in your back yard and about as rare as they come.

Stefano

The original owner drove and used it this way.

No reason why it can't be enjoyed as it is.

We'll let the new owner decide what they want to do with it down the road.

Interesting note for Oldsmobile guys is that this Dealership had two 1969 Hurt Oldsmobiles on the lot when the original owner went in to order his W-31.

Any under the hood photos?

How old/recent is the paint?

Stefano
04-02-2012, 09:07 PM
How are these for now?

We had just unloaded the car when we took these pics. We have some cleaning to do under the hood.

The paint is less than three years old.

I am shocked this thing has not moved. Some steam cleaning, minor detailing, and copious amounts of Boshield would take this to a new level.

Nice car! Alot of damn car for 25K.

Looked this car over at the MCACN show back in November and it is very, very cool. Reminds me of the shape and condition of the cars we used to find and buy 25-30 years ago but are just about extinct these days.
