View Full Version : Doing a little racing.
Did a little drag racing this weekend. I went a couple of rounds in the Deuce, but then got a little anxious and and turned on the red bulb. Though not the best track conditions, windy and cool, she was close to mid season form, mid 1.5 60', low 6.90s ETs at around 100mph. BTW, a 355CI SBC.

Not for sure about that. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif
First, the trans went out of Red Alert, then last week the converter in the Deuce went South. We got the Nova back together Wednesday evening and should have Red Alert ready to rock and roll sometime this week.
Anxious to see how each does, as we tweaked the rear suspension in RA a tad, and are trying a different setup converter wise in the Nova. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/3gears.gif

It's all relative -- speed cost money...how fast do you want to go!
Good LUCK and be SAFE!!
Thanks.
Both cars are back together. At Newport Sunday, the car did great, running a couple of 7.01s and a 7.031 on a 7.0 dial, and on the last pass, I even surprised myself with a .502RT on a .500 tree.
Plans are to try our Red Alert Thursday evening at the Chevelle Nats, at Music City Raceway near Nashville, TN.
