I was talking to a rep at jet hot coatings and he said that coating the stock exhaust manifolds would bring the heat the engine area bay down 20%. That's kind of hard to believe. Has anyone every had their manifolds coated and what was your experience. I know they look good but as far as engine bay being cooler, I doubt it.

20 degrees of temp, maybe. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif

The temp should drop a little. When JetHot coats headers and exhaust manifolds, they coat the inside and the the outside. The inside coating helps get the hot exhaust flow better. That should help keep the temp down some.

I had the Hooker Headers in my Z28 done by a company called Calico. You can run the car for hours and touch the headers immediately after. While I do not suggest doing this, its the only way to adequately explain how cool the headers are.
