<span style="font-size: 14pt">As Always, I would like to thanks the folks who either mailed in or completed applications online, this makes my job MUCH easier. </span> <span style="font-size: 11pt">There are hundreds of cars so having proper registration is a must. If you think you are in the show (ie you emailed Bob but have not yet received a confirmation letter by mail) it means you are not registered. If your info doesnt get into the computer, there will not be a space for you on the show floor (every year we sell out) and you will not have the proper credentials to get past our security, so PLEASE, after you email Bob, be sure to either complete an application and submit it Enter Your Car (http://www.mcacn.com/entry.htm) </span> <span style="font-size: 14pt">Thanks Again!!! Lets see who is registered so far..</span>.

<span style="font-size: 14pt">I will list them in the order we received the applications that were accepted and our first entrant was Jeff Dickey with a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass S W31 and as you can see, the car is undergoing a complete restoration as we speak, which means he will be in contention for a First Time Shown in Chicagoland Award</span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt">For 2012, the MCACN team have a showcase devoted to ultra rare and desirable “Aero Cars” sponsored by the Wellborn MuscleCar Museum. Inspired by NASCAR racing, these limited production cars were built to meet stringent production requirements calling for similar street versions of the cars people would see on the tracks.
Among these cars are the Ford Talledega, Mercury Cyclone Spoiler and Spoiler II, the Dodge Charger 500 and the wild winged Dodge Daytona and Plymouth Superbird. To see just one of these race inspired automobiles is a treat….to see a row of them is even better! Thanks to Jason Thompson and Doug Schellinger for overseeing this special gathering!</span>
<span style="font-size: 14pt">Next to register was Ed Bohrer with a 1970 Plymouth Superbird. Yes, this car will be in our Aero Warriors Invitational Display </span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt"> And speaking of race inspired cars, the show will also feature Trans-am inspired cars with “Trans Am Terrors.” When Chevrolet introduced the very first Z/28 in 1967 and Pontiac brought out their very first Trans Am in ’69, the world took notice. Chrysler followed suit with their all new Dodge Challenger T/A and AAR Cuda’s in 1970, and the rest, as they say, is history. You’ll be able to witness this history in person, with race and street cars on display focusing on cars that are sought after by collectors world-wide. Next up is Michael Hamilton with a 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A and this car will be in our Trans Am Terrors Display!</span>

<span style="font-size: 14pt">We are pleased to have the continued support of the Supercar community through what is clearly the best website devoted to Dealer-built Supercars and Muscle Cars in the world; www.yenko.net. (http://www.yenko.net) If you want to learn from the best and hear from those who are not only passionate about the cars, but just good folks, this is the place to be. The combined knowledge that frequents the site is absolutely amazing, and the sharing of that knowledge is what really makes it unique.
This year we are pleased to again host the sYc Members Showcase display. This is always one of the most popular areas of our show. Come and see some of the finest and rarest Dealer-built Supercars and Muscle Cars from across the country, and meet the members who share their knowledge on the Yenko.net website. We have several fresh restorations that will be in the display too, including a couple that are being worked on as we speak!
One of our very first entries for 2012 was Bruce Eilenberger, an sYc Member, with his 1969 Camaro COPO 427 pictured below. He will be displaying in the sYc Members Showcase</span>

<span style="font-size: 11pt">This next entry is a Memoriam for Todd Nelson, a young man who tragically passed in an auto accident. Todd and his father worked on the car together until his passing.
Todd was texting while driving, a very dangerous activity. The Official MCACN Charity, Rescue One (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVUX96EysI8), recently launched a huge campaign to educate drivers on the dangers of texting while driving. Todds father is now an active spokesperson against texting while driving and is pushing for legislation to ban texting while driving in Wisconsin.</span>

Vicki, any chance of having a 1972 Hurst Olds Pace Car display?
There may be some 1972 HO's there any way, but it would be cool to round up a good batch of these rare cars. There's a nice X code '72 Pace Car here in Austin that would be a great contender.

Tim; adding a "display within a display" featuring a group of Olds Pace Cars in our Class of 1972 Invitational area would be cool. We have a convert and a sunroof coupe pending registration now.

Another benefit of early registration is that there is a higher chance you will be included in the MCACN Car Show Magazine, which will be published soon. Not every photo of every car that is registered is used in the magazine, however, if you are not Officially registered by sending in or submitting an official application, there will definitely NOT be a photo of your car in the magazine. Also, we feature registered cars daily on our Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/mcacn) so when you register a photo of your car will be on display for our 13,000+ fans. And lets not forget our e-blasts, we ONLY use photos of registered cars in our email newsletters too! 3 Good Reasons to Register Now Click Here to Register (http://www.mcacn.com/entry.htm)

YES...along with an incredible 51 other confirmed Yenko automobiles! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/drool.gif
We ask that everyone help us spread the word in any way about this. The ZL1/COPO gathering last year was history making, and this display is considerably larger and of course, more diverse. The variety is absolutely incredible.
Thanks to all of you who have worked diligently to assure that this will be the largest gathering of real-deal Yenko Super Cars, Yenko sold vehicles, Yenko memorabilia and Yenko people <span style="font-style: italic">ever</span>. We could not do it without this incredible support.

Just a little over a week away!!! This will be my first time coming to this show and I'm really looking forward to it. Hope to meet some of the guys from this site. My cars are a little different (older, what I call "Early Muscle Cars") than most of the guys here but hopefully will fit in. Bob says I'll have the only '61 Ford in the show so I shouldn't be difficult to locate, anyone here please stop by and say hello. Oh, yeah, I'm a southerner so please keep the white stuff away!!! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif
