Diana and I made the trek last year, had a very nice time. I would encourage anyone with a Nova to attend. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

beings I am disabled maybe the State will help with some gas money and lodging. If my PA. food stamps spend in Iowa I may consider it. If I cry loud enough to my Congressman maybe even get some money/assistance to bring my nova to the Reunion. I will start working on it now!

Hey, we got a place with golf just for you.
Less then two weeks away. Diana and I hope to make the trip again, with a possible stop along the way at Eddyville, Iowa dragstrip to give Howie a lesson or two. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/naughty.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/haha.gif

I can remember Joe setting in the staging lanes at Eddyville behind Howie back in the 90s. We both had 68 Novas. His had a better pedigree. But I think we were a bit faster.

Schony, I remember that night. I came down and talked to you for a long time. You don't see very many 68 Novas even back then.

68 last ran around 2000. Pretty much covered in bird poop and dust. While it would be fun, (we thought about it when the reunion was still in Collinsville) the cost is way to much.
RACE racin ain't cheap entertainment.
I always liked Eddyville. Nice clean track, and good quality cars.

Pink or <span style="color: #CC33CC">Purple</span>?
Besides lots of cool Novas, a great bunch of folks. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif
Got the Deuce loaded, heading out first thing in the morning. First to Eddyville Raceway for a couple of passes then on to the Nova Reunion.

Sounds good. We have a spot for you in the deuce section.
And to answer the question purple or pink? Somewhere left of magenta.

Very nice show. The weather cooperated, and we had around 73 cars. Had 4 Yenko deuces there including one FG race deuce with Mr. and Mrs. Clary. And we had a vist from Mr. NNN Wayne Bushey who was headed South to deliver a motor and parts. Had a nice visit with him. We're very happy with the Riverside casino location and believe it worked well for both us, and them. I believe we'll be there again next year.
Thanks to all who attended, and to SYC for the plug.

Diana and I had a great time while in Iowa.
Friday evening we met up with Howie at Eddyville Raceway Park for TNT. Kim said the track would hook, and boy did it! A 1.48 60’, best ever for the Deuce. Super facility and ran by very nice people.
Saturday we spent the day at the Eastern Iowa Nova club’s show, a great event, well organized, lots of cool cars and the best part, some really nice folks there.
