0749 is not a 69 camaro for sure!

not sure what it is and if it was a 69 camaro the Delco stamp should be on the other side upside down.

Looks like a OE unit to me. Not all were stamped 180* and upside down. Some were not stamped all. EZ to spot a Chi-Neez one. half the cars restored now have the El cheepo ones installed.
Easiest way to tell is to compare the "Triangle shaped stamped in stiffeners. The repops are very sharp at the bottom with a distinct hard line, the OE ones have a nice smooth radius.
Next time you watching a auction on TV zero in on the under hood shots, you'll be amazed. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/shocked.gif

Mike, you are a smart cookie! Amazing how much the Chi-Neez restored cars go for in some of these auctions.

I've also noticed that the "DELCO MORAINE" is very crisp on repos and somewhat less distinct on OE. I too have seen upright/right side "D..M.." stamps on correct OE boosters.

I guess you are right Sammy, Mikey is a "smart cookie" <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

Check out the "O" in Delco. Repops have a rounder O.

That's true,among other subtleties.
Vintage used an 0.
Todays Repro uses an O.

Here is my original booster which has never been off the car and faded to a silver color.

Eddie - seems like its a 1967/1968 booster for a power assisted drum brake car? Was there even such thing?

I have a power drum 68 SS RS 396 car here that appears to have a 9079 booster. The last 9 is chopped partway off so it is a guess.

From the CRG crew...

So my 9079 guess is correct.
