Ok I have been speaking to an old guy with a substantial collection of cars and parts he wants to liquidate. I can handle the Ford stuff as he has some Cammer SOHC engine 428 CJ etc. He also says he has an LS6 car that was an engineering car for AC Delco Division. He says it was a late build 70 and that it has a fiberglas fuel tank and some LS7 engine components. I have no clue if this is one of those "stories" or if you guys feel there may be some merit to the story. He did give me the vin of the car and was thinking GM of Canada may be able to verify the car. His Ford stories are checking out including the Long Nose SOHC Mustang and Lightweight Galaxie. I will share the vin but would like some sincere advise if that would be prudent on the forum or best via PM
Thanks
Kerry
Not hard for you to check with Canada GM. Then you'll know for sure.

I gave him the Canadian information to document the car some time ago. It is an interesting car but some of the stories don't make sense. An open chamber LS6 for engineering purposes built June '70? The engineer that bought the car years ago found a build sheet in the seat and threw it away?
It is an Arlington Texas built car, the buildsheet should be in the forward floor areas if it exists at all.
He doesn't know much about the car, decoding the trim tag , etc. I was hoping he didn't get ripped off on this car. I think he said he just bought it recently. I don't know why he hasn't done the Canadian docs yet. It would show where the car was delivered and hopefully it was not a 396 car.

Thank you for the info. He is giving me first access to the Ford stuff and in return I will make sure he knows what he has on this Chevelle so as not to get "ripped"

I thought the documents only did cars built here or sold here . If the car was built in Texas and is in California how is GM Canada going to help? Was it sold here and went back?
