I have some customers (drag racers) that purchase it from me. I stocked it on their suggestion. They claim a VERY noticable difference in bearing life with all other things being equal.

I have no experience with it. I had a great experience with Amsoil in a 1977 Suburban I had, original 454 truck. It had Amsoil since new (original owner was an Amsoil dealer) and it never needed any engine work, except a fuel pump at 200k! I don't even recall when I got rid of it, but it was still running great!

So I kinda became an Amsoil fanboy. They have a pretty complete line and some great compelling data.I'm sure Royal Purple make good oil too. What is it you are looking to achieve or protect with the Royal Purple?

Adam - for the BM cars I suggest Brad Penn high zinc oil. I have a local distributor in my network too and can order oil any time.

Very good brand name for high end lubricants... costly stuff

We use the 0W in the Jr Dragster, noticeably different than Mobil 1 synthetic racing oil, and it gets changed every 4 passes (~ 1/2 mile) on average. We like it, and with the rebuild cost of a single cylinder Jr engine equal to that of a SB Chevy engine - we don't mind the cost!

Great stuff, no complaints. $9.99 a quart for oil. Superior quality filter is $15. They also make Water Wetter* type radiator additive and other items. Everything I have used works great. It's even actually purple!
