Any market for these?
NOT mine, don't know the owner, just thought they were pretty cheap!

That is cheap and these would make for good wall hangers.

In the interest of trivia, those are wheelcovers and not hubcaps. Poverty caps are hubcaps.

I didn't know there was a distinction till someone pointed it out to me.

More trivia. These were a one year only, one model car only wheel cover. 68 Chevelle SS396.

That's pretty cool.

Were there other SS-specific hubcaps or wheelcovers for other years?

There were SS wheel covers, but this was the only one to have an engine size on them! Here's a nice example.

I'd be happy to pick them up for someone. No charge.

Is that a special-order Verdoro Green? Or just the dark green that was typical of the year?

That I couldn't tell you. It is apparently original color. repainted.

Not a big fan of the greens, but that looks slick with the white painted top.

I would love to see more muscle cars wearing factory full wheel covers. I would bet that a LOT of them were sold that way new, but it is a look seldom seem these days. Everyone is on the dog dish or factory styled wheel bandwagon.

LOVE IT! Dare to be different! No, they all didn't have "Rallys."

Shopped it just a tad. Not a big fan of green either but I would happily have this beauty in my garage!

My first new car was a '68 SS - teal blue metallic and it came with the same standard wheel covers as shown. Wish I had kept those covers now - actually I wished I kept that whole car, but we all have said that haven't we? Didn't bother with rallys as I intended to put black centered ET mags on it anyway..
I noticed also in the picture of the green car that the marker bezels are the same as my car had - in that they say SS with a small script beneath that with '396' as opposed to all I have ever seen that just showed 396 without any SS notation in the section ahead of the marker light portion.
Anyone know how rare the type of marker is as shown (and the same as pictured) on SS 396 cars?
Mine was a Canadian delivered car 325 HP model - would that have made the marker script or configuration different for any reason that anyone knows of?
Thanks - Randy

My uncle built this car in the late 80's and thought it was cool to lay down some passes on white walls and hubcaps.
