I bought this fiberglass hood on Craigs list a couple of weeks ago and started doing some clean up to see how bad the damage and modifications were. It seems to be a vary repairable hood but I would like opinions about its authenticity. From my research it appears to be a '68 yenko style hood and has had 2 coats of Corvette Bronze paint applied. The fiberglass is a yellow color like was used on early Corvette bodies. There is a hole on the back side of the hood between the scoop openings that may have been used to hold a screen mesh like the '67 Danas used in their hoods. There are pieces of the hood hinge attaching nuts inside the rear side structure but it was obviously later held on with 4 hood pins. I bought this hoping it was a Dana style with the rear scoops to use on my '68 L.A. built BB Camaro I've been researching for a while. I bought it from a guy that had it for about 25 years. He took it off a car they raced in the late 80s. I will try to add a few pictures. Clinthttp://www.yenko.net/attachments/usergals/2012/06/full-4483-83-1resized_pic3.jpg
