I have an orig vinyl on my 69 camaro - its dark green.

What is the recomendation for cleaning and restoring it to like new look? It is in excellent condition, no rips, tears, bubbles etc....just could use a good cleaning and resurface it with a good product. I don't want to have any shinney look, just trying to get that orig look with that satin sheen.

Appreciate the advise

Wash with a soft bristle brush and a mild detergent then apply a thin coat of 303...then wipe off the excess.

Not sure if it will work with a green color but i used a black Tana leather wax shoe polish and it made my original black vinyl roof look like new again, even the faded spots were gone.
I just buffed it in with a terry cloth while spreading it on. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

I like wax & grease remover too. Harmless on paint, glass, tires and chrome and is good for the 1st clean in a process on all plastics. It removes any bugs or heavier grime and can clean any vinyl down to the base. I use it on door trims and seats too, dont like the 'shine' look too much from sprays and wax n grease can remove any past coatings of spray for that orig no-shine look.... and we all know that spray products have alot of silicone.

cheers Dave.....ps pix or it diddnt happen lol!
