turned out to be a little different that I remembered. Man was my memory off when I finally looked at the car today.

got the color right (gold)
got the engine right (L79)
got the trans right (4spd)

BUT

it was a 65 chevelle 2 door post wagon (I guess is rarer than the nova).
neat muscle car for the right (station wagon) guy. wished it was the nova that I dreamt up in my head.

all I can tell you for now, its buried in the back of a building. rusted out floors. but paperwork, etc, original engine. How about black? there is another one sitting next to it, same options. next car show we can chat. They are rare no doubt, not sure if they are 'desirable'. Not for me atleast.

Are the L79's getting more desirable???? I have been watching all modles and they seem to have a crowd following them..

As for the chevelle wagon that would be a very unique car to have. My god how many of those were made!!!

I would love one too, but being an L79 is certainly not a requirement- though I wouldn't turn it down.

the two door wagons are rare enough; about 3700 in 64 and 1700 in 65.
to find one with a V8 (most were 6cyl) and an L79 four spd is hen's teeth for sure. I'd trade my SS for one in a heart beat.

I dont know if its true or not, but someone told me they made 11 L79 2 door post wagons. To see 2 of them in one spot is pretty cool. I doubt all of them suvived if the number is true. The black one I mentioned does not have its original engine, but its neat thats its black.

there is a guy around here (orginal owner) that has a 4 door 65 chevelle that is a L79 4 spd. He drives it around and you see it pass by once and a while. Now that is truely something you dont see everyday. I am not sure whats rarer, that car or these wagons.
