Dan Vasic has been a friend of MCACN since the inception and he has communicated to me a need for his father in law, a veteran, in reference to a health crisis he is having. Dan has been instrumental in displays at MCACN, and has always been FANTASTIC at getting the folks in his display to register (which y'all know is very important to me) and also handles all the guys in his display at the show which I also appreciate very much, so Dan has earned a place in my heart and I want to help him with this cause as he has helped us with the show.

I have included a link to a form to make a donation IN ANY AMOUNT via paypal, which will go directly into the account of the family of Dans father in law, or you can send donations of items for the silent auction or $ to the address at the end of the note from Dan (see below)--Thanks!

If you would like to know more about Dan and his father in law, read below:

Note From Dan:
For those of you that know me, I am a very proud and independent
person that never asks for help. Well at this time I need to reach out on behalf of
my father in law, Thomas Bush, and ask for your generosity.
This has been on my mind and is not an easy task for me to do as I was raised with strong ethics and beliefs, however when your back is up against a wall....one must ask for help.

My Father in law has had his world turned upside down in the last two years...
he has been diagnosed with Morvan's Syndrome , something
very rare, so rare that only a handful of people have ever had it. It is suspected that this condition might be the result of an exposure to Agent Orange while serving as a Marine in Vietnam.

Within these last two years he has been in and out of the hospital, unable to drive, work, leave his home for any amount of time, or even manage to move around with out assistance, let alone enjoy the "life" he once knew.
He is only 64 , has been a hard worker all his life always generous to others and NEVER asked for anything his whole life. Tom lives in a small community in Owensville, MO. with his wife Chris, who retired early to care for him. Needless to say with hospital bills mounting and his prescription medication over $700/month life has been very
difficult for them. He's asked for help from the Veteran's administration but they are tied up with tons of paperwork and are requiring him to "Prove" his illness is related to Agent Orange. Despite it all he tries to have a positive attitude, hope and the strength / will of a Marine to live on to see our baby girl at least graduate high school.

Tom is very patriotic and proud to be an American. It has always been his joy to organize the town`s yearly 4th of July party and Fireworks show. He always opened his home to everyone never asking for anything in return except for the "oohs and aahs" at his fireworks display. This 4th of July was very difficult for Tom, since this was the first time in over 25 years that he was not able to have his big 4th of July celebration.
Tom is back in the hospital today suffering from a blood clot in his right leg.
The town of Owensville, my wife and I are hosting a Fundraiser Benefit in Tom`s honor on August 25th.

If you'd like to join us in Owensville for food , drinks and silent auction and raffle of items you are more than welcome. If you are unable to attend but find it in your heart to make a donation we would appreciate it.

Please make donations to: Thomas Bush
