I was at a Swap Meet today and picked up a May 1978 HotRod Magazine(along with some shovelhead parts), on the cover is a widebody Corvette that the owner states he started with a wrecked 1969 Phase III GT to build, The owners name for the car is Alan Kleiman from near/around Sepulveda California. Is this one of the known Phase III GT cars? It does have the motion lemans cap. anybody know this car or its wereabouts?

I just purchased the magazine on e-bay for 3.95 so i can check it out. Very Radical change up from the 69 look to that..

I think the one in Chicago "as found" was a Spyder..I don't think this car is one of those.I have seen the article on this car before(while researching my car).they claim in the magazine that this was a phase III GT SBC, that was turned into a widebody by some shop in CA if I recall..I've been trying to find those louvers on the back there for a long time..my car had those (they used to be everywhere I guess)and I would like to put them on there again.I also heard somewhere (another forum) that this car may have been destroyed ??

there is a set of those louvers around here locally, if I find them I'll purchase them and pass them onto you (they are asking no money). I am starting to get a rubber bumper c3 "jones" working, a modified 74 big block coupe sounds pretty good to me
