In '70 Atlanta factory, the line workers placed the build sheets inside one of the front door panels. Where did they put them in '69? Thanks!

Sam, not sure if this will answer your question but looking into my data I find that the main document I have recorded is the Interior sheet/card that is usually found under the seats describing the body RPOs. I do not have a build sheet for an Atlanta body for 1969, not that there aren't any still out there, I just haven't received any copies for my records. I would be interested in seeing any if someone has them available. Hope this helps some. Take care Andy

My understanding is the Atlanta 69's build sheets got put in the garbage at the end of the line.

Thanks guys. Andy, when you said "...under the seats..." is that under the seat covers? Is that the punch card you are talking about with body info only?

Sam,

I would say it`s the Punch Card.

No build sheet in my Atlanta built 68 Chevelle. This is the sheet that I found under the rear seat in my 68 Atlanta built 68 Chevelle. I call it the body broadcast sheet. It shows everything the Fisher body plant needed to complete the SS-396, and options for the body. Like the console hump/4 speed, vinyl top molding studs, bucket seat brackets, rocker molding studs, etc.

Bill, that is the same copy I have for the 69s. It can be found under the seats in the springs. I had one in an 69 Atlanta built Chevelle I owned a few years ago, nice thing is it has the body number and usually will id the SS option (ZL3) for the interior conversion and other key RPOs.
Sam, PM sent but Bills copy is exactly what you may find, I have copies of some 69s if you need one for reference.
Take care Andy

BTW, what is "BLACK" a reference to in the above photo? Is that the tail panel color call out?

I'm not sure what the "black" is referencing Sam. The 4 things on the car that are black, are the rockers, tail panel, vinyl roof, and the interior
