The last VIN on CRG is 711922, so your local guys car is "early". BTW there is one digit missing in that VIN.

Did you mean N700022?
The last 1969 Camaro was reported by Chevrolet as N711922. Not known to exist. N711910 was on ebay as a project in 2005.

so 711922 would be about what date?

N711922 would have been final assembled on or about November 7, 1969.

Model change-over lay-offs started on November 10th at NOR, with the clear out of the repair lines yet to be completed on that date.

"with the clear out of the repair lines yet to be completed"
Meaning?

AGR had to be emptied of repairs-meaning cars that made it to roll-test that were rejected were sent to AGR and these cars thus entered a repair line.

Since that one is 900 cars before the last one it should have been leaving the line 2 to 4 days before the last one.
