Thanks go out to the Clary family for again hosting a cool event.
The tent was an awesome addition and I really appreciate the hospitality extended by allowing us to promote the MCACN show in comfort.
It is always great to see old friends and meet new ones. The cars bring us together, but it is the people that make it great. Had a blast talking to everyone and am looking forward to SCR16! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/youguysrock.gif

ABSOLUTELY! Huge Thanks to Tom, Rob, Jon & Johnny Kat for putting it all together again. The weather was perfect and it's always good to see and talk with the folks that attend this event.
We had to cut out a little earlier than I had hoped, but still, ...... WELL WORTH THE TRIP! Route 66 Raceway is a class facility. easy to get in & out; plenty of room; friendly staff; ........ Just a Great Place to have an event like this.
Ya done good Guys! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/worship.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif
(I'll have some pix up soon on the other thread. Stay tuned.)
WOW…what a great day at the track. Talk about something for everyone….slingshot dragsters, gassers, , tons of muslcecars, show cars, even a top fuel dragster. Hats off to the crew at RT 66 for putting on a first class event, and for including us.
Needless to say it was cool to not only spend time with Rob and Jon at the event, but an added treat was lining up against Rob, he in Red Alert, me in the ’70 Deuce. For his first time behind the wheel, he did a good job of getting RA down the track, as she can be a handful at times. Was good to see other families spending time together, Pete and sons, and Jake/Jake/Jake.
A BIG THANK you to everyone from the club who took part in the SCR, either racing, showing under the tent, or just there hanging out. As always, IMO, a great time with friends.

I too had a great time. Thanks to everyone who made this happen. It was nice meeting new people from the Yenko site and hearing stories on their cars and days of old.

Thanks Clary's! Always good to see you and tell some stories.
What a added bonus having some Top Fuel runs. Cheap admission to see that! 4.5 seconds @ 311 mph. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/headbang.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/flag.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/Can-I-Have-It.gif
Cool event. A good piggyback, running with these folks. Some really cool cars.
Thanks Cumby, Your generosity and friendship is appreciated.(yourpm box is full, so I got to do this publically!). Good time with my boys as well.
Always good to see the "Kat"!

As always, THANK YOU to everyone that came out to the SCR, whether you were racing, showing, or you were just there to say "hi"...it was great to catch up with folks again. We regretfully had to bail immediately after the event because of work so I didn't get to hang out and recap the day or even give many goodbyes, but it what a day of fun!
I drew the golden ticket and got the driving duties for Red Alert...a polar opposite of my normal race car, as I'm not used to anything that isn't skating out of the hole...the launch and immediate left turn were a bit interesting, though! I knew it was a sketchy first pass from *my* perspective, and it was confirmed when Eric Simpson told me "I was in the stands and it scared the sh!t of of ME!" <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

Nope! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif
Below is a video my brother shot on his phone of one of the crappier runs of my life...bad burnout (should have backed up and started fresh but didn't, I knew better), bad light, left turn off the line, stayed in 2nd too long...other than that, a GREAT first pass!

Great time, thanks to everyone. The long wait in the afternoon was well worth it that night, the top fuel car and the gassers were awesome. It was an honor to be in the staging lanes with those guys, my max wedge was happy too with a new best et that night.
Thanks again,
Steve

I was right behind Red Alert when it launched......it looked like it got a little hairy for a while there. Definitely a handful. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/shocked.gif
