White Hall Reunion

Looks like next on the calendar is an event Cumby and a group of his former racing buddies host, an annual event known as the White Hall Drag-O-Way Reunion. Held in Lion's Park in White Hall, IL, always a lot of fun, with lots of cool cars and old farts like Cumby and myself, reliving the good old days. Speaking of old farts, may even see Howie there.

The date is Saturday, Spetember 8, 2012.

Thanks for the plug Tom. Hope you can make the long haul again this year. You know you're ALWAYS welcome at our little shindig, and we truly DO appreciate all you've done for us.

And to all the folks in the Central Illinois area, come on out and enjoy a day in the park with some good people and cool cars. We call it a Reunion because it's more about the friends (old & new) that it is about the cars. We love the stories and the smiles on the faces of some folks who only see each other once, twice, ...... maybe a few times a year.
Always some new folks showing up who might have raced at our strips but weren't aware of the Reunion, .... and I know of at least a couple of cars that aare new to the area who have promised to attend this year. (How about a fresh Bubble-top '62 409 car? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif)

Yep, they're available.
The two cars shown on the design above used to run at our track. Both the owners are still around and Joe Hendricks even had the NT/F car at the Reunion last year. Reggie Kemp ran the Anglia with a number of different engines including an injected SBC up to an injected 427. He named the car &quot;Screamin' Jenny&quot;. Reggie and his wife Jenny <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/naughty.gif said they would be here this year.
