Hi Gang,
I am going to be in LA for a week in late Sept on business and was wondering what car type things there are to do?
Any shows, meets, Cars-and-Coffee type events happening? I will be in town through the weekend, staying within close proximity of LAX. If anyone wants to meet, let me know!
Thanks,
Dan

If you are into music, check out <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">Amoeba Music </span></span>on Sunset. Huge and way cool. New & Vintage music in all forms - neat old posters too. Just around the corner from there is <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles</span></span> - oh my goodness is it yummy <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/drool.gif (who'd ever thunk those two foods would go together so well <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif! Was just there last week with the family and had a ball.</span> http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/mockingbird812/image-74.jpg </span>

Dan-
When we where there picking up the 409 we were able to make it to the Peterson Museum - not too far from LAX.
Peterson Museum (http://petersen.org/)
We only had the afternoon so did not do much else - but did make it up to Santa Monica pier for dinner which was pretty nice too.

Take a look at this
SoCal Car Culture (http://www.socalcarculture.com/)
Click on the events tab and take a look. Maybe you'll see something that'll fit your schedule.
If I was going to be home, I'd bust the Caprice out for ya.

Dan, you may not want to come back. I love it out there. We have a 25 year old friend who is out there in the southern LA area just having fun and finding himself. Its a great area to have some fun.

Has anyone mentioned "Cruisin for a Cure 2012?" September 22 at The OC Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa off the 55 freeway.
Last year there was a great turnout, about 20 Camaros. This event raises money for Prostrate Cancer and has on site PSA testing for free. Gates open early, 4:30 am, but 6am is probably OK.
Flyer is at http://www.cruisinforacure.com/participant_entry.htm. (http://www.cruisinforacure.com/participant_entry.htm) If you would like to ride with me in my '69 SS, drop me a PM, and I will reserve us a spot beforehand.
