Survivor-ish 69 L78 Nova.

Originally burgundy with SS rims, (I have a few original pic's available from original owner). Now painted silver with chrome rims; a fairly well done scuff and spray. Still has original burgundy over spray on frame and beneath seals. Not "born with" items include carb, distributor, exhaust manifolds. Clean stamps, original engine, transmission and axle. Very few rust bubbles, extremely clean undercarriage, never quartered. This car was never a rust bucket and shows no evidence of damage or significant repair. Black interior is beautiful and the 8 track tape player (from dealer) still works. Automatic, console, bucket seats, runs and drives perfect (shifts great). It has rare power steering. Chain of registration clearly documents the mileage back to original owner (still alive and well) who will attest in any fashion desired to the fact that it is indeed his old L78. He's a very nice gentleman who adored that car and loves discussing it. It wouldn't take much to bring this back to a very respectable day one specimen. No build sheet, invoice or protecto. One of the past owners claims to have the protecto "somewhere". I got tired of chasing him down - but I do have his name and some old contact info. Last 4 years stored in CA and appears to have been stored for most if not all of it's life. Not costing me anything to keep, no urgency to sell but you wouldn't be reading this if I didn't want to move it. It's time for someone more passionate to own this. No known mechanical issues.

Car is in Northern California. Prefer a fairly local buyer who knows what they're looking at in person to reduce time and drama proving authenticity.

More pic's as time allows, sorry there aren't more at this point.

Asking 32,000

Please PM if interested. Respectfully, I will not respond to offers in postings.

Original owner is the guy on the left - I like this pic

More recent - this was a picture of my lift actually - not the car

Thanks in advance for the interest.

In all fairness, it was originally an Ohio car but extremely well preserved. No dissappointments. First to see will quite likely be the first to buy. I will try for more pic's next weekend.

Love the reversed picture when it was burgundy, looks like a right hand drive, must be rare. and a very cool car as well. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/cool.gif

Good eye. Not sure I know how to reverse the reversed scan so for now it shall remain the rarest Nova ever produced, aside from the L89. Surprisingly no one has yet to mention my preference in beer.

So is the guy on the left in the reversed picture actually the owner on the right?

The owner is the one with his hand in his pocket. Thanks for the interest.

I am still hoping to get more pics in the next few days and I will post trim tag and casting numbers. This turned into a busy weekend and I have a roller to move in order to get it out. Regardless, I'll get a few engine bay and interior shots.

I forgot to mention in OP that selling the car with the original color can be negotiated. I have a local retired friend who does fantastic work. He's not fast but extremely talented and affordable. He loves the car and keeps asking when he can "bring her back."

Have you pulled the top of the back seat out to look for the broadcast sheet? They are almost always still there on lowmilage cars.
