Trying to locate the previous long time owner of a 1970 1/2 Z Cortez silver and black. The Wisconsin seller told me he bought it from Jim Egizio from Naperville,IL in about 2000, and Jim had it since the early 1970's. Beautiful 53,000 mile car that looks to have been well cared for.Came from the Naperville Chevy dealership that may have been Jim dad's business.
Anyone with information about Jim, or the car please contact me. Kevin DeWitte [email protected].

Thanks in advance for any help.

I had a Cortez silver & black 70 1/2 Z28 that I traded in on my new 73 Z28 in March 1973, at Fencl-Tufo Chevy in Glendale Hts, IL. I would have no info regarding the VIN though, so probably could not confirm whether or not it is the same one I owned. I can tell you one thing for sure, though....the one I traded in did not have the original engine in it <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/no.gif

That was a fairly popular color combo, so I'm sure I was not the only one in the Aurora/Naperville area to have one. Do you know if the car was originally sold new at Egizio Chevy-Olds in Naperville?

Here are a few vintage pics of mine....

Me sitting on the front fender at an Atlantic Ocean beach somewhere near Charleston SC, September 1972...check out the 'second row seating' in the bed of the pickup...

Can't really tell what kind of car it is from our upper floor hotel room in Charleston SC, but the hood & deck stripes definitely stand out <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

Great shots, Bill. I'm impressed that the car has a matching set of the correct Goodyear 60 series tires. Those were so expensive even back then. I had to go to Kelly Springfields as a replacement on my 69 car !!

To the best of my knowledge, they were still the originals. I believe the car had mileage in the low to mid 20,000 range when I bought it.
