A little history first. This car started as the vision of a good friend about 8 years ago. He bought a very solid California body car and began collecting NOS and the best used original parts for the restoration. Harry pretty much knew this would be the last car he would do. About two years ago he developed heart problems that really slowed him down and the progress on the car came to a halt. My friend Jim and I bought the unfinished project and over the last year have meticulously reassembled it (Jim did most of the work because he has the patience I don't). I cannot verify with any certainty whether this car started life as a small block or a big block. It started life as a Camaro convertible with factory air. Harry bought it with no motor or transmission.

Body: The car was a no rust California car. It had some body damage in the left wheelwell area and was repaired with a quarter panel and outer wheelhouse. The rest of the shell is factory original to the best of our knowledge and completely rust and bondo free. The front was assembled with NOS GM fenders, NOS header panel, NOS lower valance panel, an outstanding original GM SS hood, and rust/damage free inner fenders. The convertible top frame was completely taken apart, blasted, painted and reassembled. The bumpers are rechromed originals. NOS trim parts include wheelwell trim, rally caps, trim rings and a few others. Trunk is correctly detailed and all 4 convertible shakers are in place.

Interior: White deluxe with fold down rear seat. Tilt column with wood steering wheel, tach (GM unit professionally serviced) and gauges, factory power windows work perfectly, perfect GM dash pad, working AM factory radio. Factory A/C blows cold. Deluxe seat belts.

Driveline: Restoration "matching numbers" motor completely rebuilt. This is a restamped block. All components are correct date code and have been professionally rebuilt/restored including the alternator (John Pirkle), distributor (MacNeish) and carb. Correct, but not numbers, professionally rebuilt Turbo 400 transmission. Correct and date coded 12 bolt 3:08 positraction rear. Original 4 piston power disc brakes. Of course everything under the car is new. Original XG rally wheels with correct reproduction redline tires.

This is one of the nicest stock restored first generation Camaros out there. $51,500 760-802-9376
