What a waste of potentially nice cars. Hopefully they all started life as Malibu's!

They weren't. Movie was shot in Pittsburgh and this year at a local Pittsburgh swap meet, 10 different guys parted out 10 different chevelles from this movie. An auction was held and the damaged cars were auctioned off. Lots of 12 bolt rears, 3 pod non Monte Carlo dashes, consoles, SS parts, 4 speeds etc all out of these cars were there. I bought some stuff but it was ashame to see fresh red parts with damage.

Interesting..I was contacted last year by someone from Calif. for some specific '70 Chevelle parts and asked if I could send them to Pa.
Maybe this movie was why.

Looks like a pretty good flick..Here's the trailer..(Notice the tach @ 1:42)

Arrgghhhhh, this carp gets on my nerves to no end.

I know it's big money and all that, but still, they aren't making these again (exc. Dynacorn) and why destroy all of that old iron? Buy some pedestrian sedans to be smashed up, ala The Blue Brothers or Smokey and The Bandit instead of a bunch of old Chevelles; idiots!

Anyone know the shop that prepped these cars for the movie. When the Olds 442's were done for Demolition Man years ago there was an article in the Journey with Olds about the shop in Livona Mi that prepped the three cars used in that movie. I am seeing at least 6 Chevelles in one photo. When the Green Hornet was made two years ago they used 20 + or - Chrysler Imperials for that movie.
