1969 ss chevelle cowl tag

the year of a 69 dated cowl tag if the car is dated 09C, would this or could be a 1968 earley production date of 1969 chevelle

Most likely it was built the third week of September in 1968. I don't think they were building Chevelles that late in 1969.

The sequential number on the trim tag will give also help decipher when it was built.

Yep..it's an early assembled 3rd week of September '68,1969 Chevelle.
