Got some Gold Cragar SS wheels NOS in PA too. If you don't know how to read the center cap and call them Crager you'd find these:

That is one of the reason the skinny wheels are nicer to collect. No Dave, I didn't buy these. They are for sale, but I don't know the owner. Might be a good fit for that show car Camaro with all of the gold.

Truth is, for $1200 bucks I would rather restore and old set of non-unilug Cragar's!

Whew...thought the Chevelle got a new look! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/burnout.gif Yes on the old Cragar set. Tough to find but they are out there sitting in someone's basement.

Whoever buys those gold Cragar SST 's needs to paint the name of pretty much any Van Halen song (prior to 1984, of course) somewhere, anywhere on the outside of their car.

And that car would have to be a black, T-topped 73/74 Oldsmobuick

When do you think the Day 3 craze will hit again?

Glad to see some one else is thinking about this..lol
Start collecting things now, just in case.

It has to be next after the Day 2 thing. I'm going to guess 8 to 12 years. But no earlier.

I'll start buying NOS Sunpro gauges, centerline wheels, and cheap coilover rear shocks now.

Collect all those fake Mr Gasket aluminum Hilborn style scoops, fake injector stacks and all the other crap Mr Gasket made in the 1980's...an the begining of all the fake, slip on braided style hose coverings..

Don't forget the Centerline Champ wheels.

Truly one of the worst decades in speed part history..

Don't forget the gold, red, or blue anodized Moroso valve covers and air cleaners. B&M megashifters are a must for all you automatic guys. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

How about these wheels that were on every broke high school kids car in the 1980s (truley one of the worst wheels ever).

Don't forget that those wheels also came in red blue and gold anodized colors as well.

The cheesy slip-on fake braided hose covers and fake hose end hose clamp covers were the worst, IMHO. We need a puking smilie.

I agree, nothing worse then seeing those cars all "AutoZoned out"

The fake braided line hits especially close to home for me because my Nova had it EVERYWHERE when I bought it. That and the Weld Draglites were the first things to go, followed closely by the blue anodized T-bolts on the valve covers.

Mine did to when I got it in the eightys. Musta been something with Nova owners in that decade......

We used to put the fake braided covering on to pass NHRA tech because you couldn't have more than 12 inches of exposed rubber hose. Couldn't afford the real braided stuff with the fittings ($$$).

For a true Day 3 car, don't forget a couple gallons of Armor-all! Yuck.

I grew up in the 80s around drag racing, and must have items for a "day 3" drag car...(my dads chevelle had most, if not all of these on at one time of the other)
-moroso valve covers with matching T bars, moroso blue max wires, centerline auto drags, Auto Meter Monster tach, (no shift light, just an orange adjustable pointer.)B&M quick Click shifter with no reverse lockout. thats all i can think of for now.

Thought of some more! moroso electric water pump, Mickey Thompson slicks with the the words "Mickey Thompson E.T. Drag spelled out on the sidewall.
