After many hours of cleaning I found some great original details on the under-body of my '70 Trans Am. I hope these may be helpful to those restoring '70 F bodies...

Beautiful work Mark <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif - what methods/materials did you use to remove the undercoating? How long did it take you?

The under-body had quite a bit of road dirt/grime and some rattle can undercoat applied in some area. I went through a lot of cans of Krown oil, soaking and wiping down with rags/plastic brushes. The rattle can undercoat came off with plastic scrapers and lots of wiping. A few weeks of soaking and getting dirty had it mostly cleaned up.

Thanks. What did you put on your bare metal parts?

Everything was sprayed with the Krown oil and the excess wiped off.

Is this car featured somewhere? With a bottom side that looks like that, I'm raging to see the top side!
