Yesterday to my surprise I found my former 1969 SS396 Butternut Yellow Chevelle listed for sale on ebay. Many of you may remember this former Chevelle of mine. It was a fun Chevelle and won many awards, lots of good memories.

I called the dealer/brooker today and educated him on a few things about the car....including the fact that it is NOT a Nickey Chevelle. Hopefully it goes to a good home.

This Chevelle is currently located in New Castle, Delaware. ebay ad..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BEAUTIFUL...=item20cded6a78 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BEAUTIFUL-1969-CHEVELLE-SS-427-4-SPD-/140893842040?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item20cded6a78 )

Sam,

No, it is not.....the car was equipped with Vintage A/C....this heater plate is the plastic plate provided with the Vintage A/C unit.

I don't think I've ever seen Saddle interior in a '69.

Frank this is a real SS396 (Super Sport) Chevelle. As proof.....I have the original BORN WITH engine in my possesion.

Frank you must be getting the 1968 and earlier model Chevelle`s mistaken for a 1969. For the 1969 Chevelle model the 1 = stands for Chevrolet, the 36 = stands for Malibu, Concours station wagon, 8-cylinder. Nothing in the VIN confirms that it`s a real Super Sport.
