I have been given the opportunity to look at a 70 GSX Saturn Yellow which is reported to need a full restoration, but is otherwise complete and unmolested.
I don't know much about Buicks, tell me what I need to be looking for and why the ranges for prices are so extreme?
I see prices from 30k to 200k? ? ?

ask this guy, he's got a ton (several tons actually):

The key factors are: 4 speed or automatic, Stage 1 or not, original drivetrain or not, and of course, condition, condition, condition. The top value is in a concourse restored, Stage 1, 4 speed with all original drivetrain. A non stage, auto, NOM car needing resto would be on the other end. Any combo of the above variables would be somewhere in between, and, this is all just my opinion.

Would color play a part in the price?
Meaning is a White one worth the same as a Yellow one with the exact same options, pedigree & condition?

Well, again IMO, although Apollo White cars accounted for a little over 25% of the 678 GSXs in '70, the Saturn Yellow cars always seem to be more sought after. It may be that if someone needs a Buick to complete their collection, they may look for the wildest one available in 1970, a Saturn Yellow GSX, with Stage 1 option & a 4 speed. I think production numbers on those were only 118.
